Blue Wrens

Blue Wrens (Malurus cyaneus), also called Superb Fairy-wrens are found in all South Eastern Australian states.

The EcoCentre's Blue Wrens pages provide an introduction to the species and the Blue Wren project, and explain how to get involved. These pages also provide general information about Blue Wrens, which includes describing how to identify them, where and how they live, what they eat, and their breeding behaviour.

The Blue Wrens Project

The project has been established to improve our understanding of Blue Wrens, particularly in relation to them living in the study area of the urban environment of South Eastern Port Phillip Bay.

This Blue Wrens site is intended as a resource for the project and to encourage extended participation. Further statistics will be published as data is collected and the study area extends.

Download the survey sheet.
