Planting for Penguins (for all ages)
Did you know our local Little Penguins have been nibbling away on plants on the St Kilda breakwater to use as nesting material? As this foliage disappears, the penguins have been opting to gather plastics to nest on. Please help us address this by coming together for a mass planting session to create a better home for penguins. We will be planting indigenous plants from a propagating session back in January, as part of our series of events. This is a special opportunity to access the the protected penguin habitat beyond the Breakwater locked gates. This session will conclude by 1pm. Start/finish from the EcoCentre, 55A Blessington Street, St Kilda.
