The EcoCentre Annual General Meeting 2023 will be held in person at Cora Graves Centre (38 Blessington St, St Kilda) on Thursday 2 November with light refreshments served.

Meeting Agenda
At the AGM, there will a motion to approve last year’s AGM Minutes (Read 2022 Unconfirmed Minutes)

Then there will be reports on the outcomes and finances of the past year 2022/23 by our President Pam O’Neil and Treasurer Nick Capes.

An election for positions on the Committee of Management for 2023/24 will then be held. If you are a member and are considering nominating please download a nomination form HERE. Nominations must reach the Secretary by 26 October 2023 and should be emailed to secretary@ecocentre.com. Please contact us for further information or guidance on nominating.

Members will then vote on a special resolution to revise a section of the EcoCentre’s Constitutional Rules.

The resolution reads:
That the Constitution of the Port Phillip EcoCentre Inc be amended so that Section 4.1 reads:

A natural person, or a not-for-profit Association with a statement of purposes aligned with those of the Port Phillip EcoCentre Inc, or a not-for-profit community group with a statement of purposes aligned with those of the Port Phillip EcoCentre Inc, may apply and be approved for individual or affiliate membership of the Port Phillip EcoCentre Inc as provided by these Rules on payment of the entry fee and annual subscription payable under these Rules.

The proposed change will allow not-for-profit community groups that are not associated organisations to apply for affiliate membership of the EcoCentre.

Non-members of the EcoCentre can join up before the meeting. Lifetime membership is complimentary with no set membership fees; members are encouraged to choose any level of voluntary donation to contribute to the EcoCentre’s mission.

Proxy voting
Should you be unable to attend the AGM, each Individual member is entitled to appoint another member as a proxy, by notice given to the Secretary no later than 24 hours before the time of the meeting. Please email the Secretary to complete proxy arrangement forms.
