Anna Malone

With a background in Urban Horticulture (Burnley) Anna loves working with communities to connect with the natural environment and make positive changes towards a more sustainable future. She has worked as a Garden Specialist in primary schools and a Horticulture Supervisor for a social enterprise, incorporating classes around biodiversity, indigenous and edible plants and food waste reduction.

As a long term Port Phillip resident, Anna is also a keen volunteer and is involved in a local school based Green Team. This has become a 5 Star Sustainable team through the ResourceSmart Schools Program, at the Children’s Garden (Royal Botanic Gardens) and Rippon Lea Heritage Gardens.

The EcoCentre acknowledges the Kulin Nations, including the Yalukut Weelam clan of the Boon Wurrung language group, traditional owners of the land on which we are located.

We pay respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Elder members of our multicultural community.
