Join us in exploring our precious indigenous flora and ecosystems along the St Kilda/Elwood Foreshore Reserve, as we enable community to help care for our iconic coastline, and monitor foreshore environmental health through a variety of conservation activities.

We will be conducting a flora and fauna survey while we explore our precious ecosystems along the St Kilda/Elwood Foreshore Reserve. This community event will help participants identify local native plants and their ecological role in stabilising coastlines.

Our revegetation work will help protect and enhance the biodiversity and encourage habitat for small birds such as the Superb Blue Fairy-wren that are disappearing from coastal areas due to habitat fragmentation.   We would like to acknowledge the project support provided by the Victorian Government through the Port Phillip Bay Fund.   We hope that you can join in the fun at these accessible, family friendly events. The EcoCentre acknowledges the Kulin Nations, including the Yalukut Weelam clan of the Boon Wurrung language group, traditional owners of the land on which we are located.

We pay respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Elder members of our multicultural community.
