Join us at Mentone Beach for a hands-on morning of habitat restoration! Help with weeding, propagating native species, and collecting microplastics to protect our coastal ecosystem.

Be part of the effort to restore the unique coastal ecosystem at Mentone Beach. Volunteers will engage in a variety of impactful activities, including removing invasive weeds, propagating native plants to support local biodiversity, and collecting microplastics along the shoreline.

Learn about the importance of these actions in maintaining a balanced and healthy environment, and contribute valuable data to the Victorian Litter Watch app to support litter reduction strategies. This is a family-friendly event, perfect for bringing friends or loved ones to share in the experience.

Dress for the weather, and don’t forget to bring a hat, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle. All tools and equipment will be provided, and bringing your own garden gloves is encouraged.

Together, we’re building a stronger, greener community - one volunteer effort at a time.

We would like to acknowledge the project support for Beachkeepers of the Bay provided by the Victorian Government through the Port Phillip Bay Fund.

The EcoCentre acknowledges the Kulin Nations, including the Yalukit Willam clan of the Boon Wurrung language group, traditional custodians of the land on which we are located.

We pay respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to other First Nations and Elder members of our multicultural community.
