Help us clean up Blackrock Beach! Join the Beachkeepers team for a hands-on Litter Clean-Up.

Take an active role in protecting the environment at our Beachkeepers Litter Clean-Up event at Blackrock Beach! This is a fantastic opportunity to tackle litter pollution directly while learning about its impact on coastal ecosystems. Volunteers will participate in a hands-on cleanup effort, targeting microplastics and other debris that threaten marine life.

Our collection will be taken back to the EcoCentre for sorting and auditing by our Microplastics Research Team. Every action you take helps support the health and resilience of Port Phillip Bay, making a meaningful difference in preserving its beauty and ecological balance.

Dress for the weather, and don’t forget to bring a hat, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle. All tools and equipment will be provided, but bringing your own garden gloves is encouraged. Your efforts play a critical role in safeguarding marine habitats and promoting a thriving coastal environment.

We look forward to seeing you there! We would like to acknowledge the project support for Beachkeepers of the Bay provided by the Victorian Government through the Port Phillip Bay Fund.

Together, we’re building a stronger, greener community - one volunteer effort at a time.
