Creative connections to nature will provide participants with the opportunity to explore inner-creativity and links to nature through writing and drawing activities. This free seminar is most suitable for inexperienced writers and drawers with an interest in incorporating these activities into personal experiences of self-care.
Starting off with an Environmental Life Writing activity with Sharron Hunter, a process devised by Robert K. Schneiders (ecointheknow.com), participants will be asked to spend time in the days leading up to the seminar with a writing activity in nature, before coming together to discuss the experience.
Participants will then move into a creative drawing activity with April Seymore. This session is not about drawing photo-realistic art, but rather using inner-creativity as a way to focus on personal wellbeing and is best suited for people with no drawing experience, who want to learn fun techniques to draw through nature-inspiration. As long as you know which end of the pencil to draw with, this session is for you!
Participants will be provided with further details about the writing activity and supplies needed to participate upon registration.
This session is part of the digital seminars series provided by the Port Phillip EcoCentre in Winter and Spring, 2020. The session will be held over Zoom.
