Join Ben Francischelli on a journey into the depths of Port Phillip Bay as he talks all things sharks! Ben is one of the EcoCentre’s Education Facilitators and an experienced Vertebrate Palaeontologist. Ben is leading expeditionary teams into the Bay that are re-writing the palaeontological history of Australia and has discovered the remains of giant macropredatory sharks (capable of eating baleen whales!) If you're keen to learn more about the incredible diversity of sharks that currently reside in the Bay, their bizarre evolutionary traits and some of Ben's amazing diving adventures, you'll want to join us for this one.
The session will be followed by an interactive Q&A and is part of the digital seminars series provided by the Port Phillip EcoCentre in Autumn and Winter, 2020. The session will be held over Zoom.
