Port Phillip EcoCentre (PPEC) will help participants identify local native plants and their ecological role in stabilising coastlines, learn the histories of community-led native revegetation, and actively participate in a variety of conservation activities
This work will help protect and enhance the biodiversity of this pre-colonial remnant vegetation site, and encourage habitat for small birds such as the Superb Blue Fairy-wren that are disappearing from coastal areas due to habitat fragmentation.
PPEC will organise monthly volunteer events (on the third Saturday of each month) along the Elwood Foreshore reserve.
We hope that you can join in the fun at these accessible, family friendly events.
