Shoreline Shell Survey_St Kilda Beach

Explore the rich biodiversity of St Kilda Beach as part of our Shoreline Shell Survey. Together, we’ll document shell species found between the pier and Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron slipway. This is an exciting chance to learn about the role of shells in our ecosystem while contributing to vital ecological research.

This educational and interactive event is suitable for families and people of all ages. Whether you’re new to conservation or a seasoned beachgoer, you’ll enjoy learning about the marine life that makes Port Phillip Bay so special.

Dress for the weather, and don’t forget to bring a hat, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle. All tools and equipment will be provided. Bringing your own garden gloves is encouraged.

Together, we’re building a stronger, greener community – one volunteer effort at a time.

We would like to acknowledge the project support for Beachkeepers of the Bay provided by the Victorian Government through the Port Phillip Bay Fund.
