Join us for our Asian shore crab field survey and training at Mount Eliza Beach. We will explore the rocky reef at low tide, looking for Asian Shore Crabs.
Location: Mount Eliza Foreshore Reserve, near Baden Powell Park Scout Group
Preparation: If you haven't attended any previous PestWatch webinars or trainings, please watch the Asian Shore Crab Educational Module
What to bring:
- Wear proper footwear: reef shoes or other close-toed shoes that can get wet. No thongs or bare feet.
- Bring gloves (Male Asian shore crabs have a strong pinch!)
- Sun protection: sunscreen, hat, long sleeves, wind jacket, reusable water bottle.
Meeting Point: Mt Eliza Foreshore Reserve Parking (Williams Rd, Mt Eliza)
This event is shore-based only; we don't go into the water. All ages welcome! Children need to be under supervision of an adult.
