Free, In-person session
Thursday 9 June, 4pm to 5.30pm
Elsternwick Park Nature Reserve was once a public golf course, and is now being transformed into a unique reserve for wildlife, creating a biodiversity refuge for exploration, education and enjoyment by the community!
This professional development session will include a guided walk through the reserve with local naturalist, educator and Elsternwick Park Association member, Gio Fitzpatrick. Come learn about the unique wildlife that reside in our local area.
The site provides wonderful opportunities for student learning, whether this be a visit to the site with your students or as a case study to explore back in the classroom. In this interactive PD, teachers will have the opportunity to explore a range of curriculum aligned biodiversity activities as well as practical skills to conduct a Biodiversity Audit at your school.
