Join us for a Small Space Habitat Gardening Workshop and Light Lunch!
This is our second workshop relating to planning the garden at the new EcoCentre. Come along and hear the consultation feedback from workshop 1 (“what’s important to you in the new garden”) and participate in this fun and informative small space habitat gardening workshop. No matter if you live in an apartment or a house, there are ways to increase habitat by gardening. If you have only room for a few small plants, what can I grow and for whom?.
Attendees will learn techniques for providing for wildlife in limited garden spaces from local environmental champion Tania Splawa-Neyman, Jimena Acevedo, City of Port Phillip Community Greening Officer and EcoCentre staff. The workshop covers plant selection, brainstorming the needs of local wildlife, practical design considerations and tips for urban habitat gardeners.
This event is on Friday, 23rd August from 10am-12pm at our Cora Graves site and concludes with a light lunch. All EcoCentre volunteers and community members are welcome. Please register for the event via the link below.
The EcoCentre redevelopment has been made possible through the tireless efforts of state and local governments, community groups, and our dedicated staff, committee, and volunteers. The garden planning workshops are supported by grants from Elwood Community Bank, City of Port Phillip and donations from our community.
