Help Port Phillip Baykeeper Neil Blake to monitor sand surface levels and map coastal vegetation cover at Pickles Street dunes (the oldest dunes in the City of Port Phillip).
Dune Profiling Activities will help the Port Phillip Baykeeper, to monitor sand surface levels and map coastal vegetation cover, noting the specific elevations above sea level that different species inhabit. This information will inform future planting strategies responding to rising sea levels.
Please remember to be prepared for all weather conditions, be sunsmart and stay Covid safe. Bring your face mask and sanitiser, sturdy closed shoes, hat, sunscreen and reusable water bottle.
Location: Pickles Street Dunes, Port Melbourne.
