What do you do with a broken toaster? Or with a bike when the wheel runs out of true? Or with a sweater full of moth holes? Toss it? No way! Bring it to the St Kilda Repair Café and let one of our volunteer fixers make it as good as new while you learn new skills and enjoy a cup of tea.
We always need volunteer fixers, and a range of vollies!
- If you love to tinker and could bring your toolbox, email the organisers here.
- If you could help with registration, photographing, coordination or promotion… Please email the organisers here: stkilda.repaircafe@gmail.com
This project is coordinated in partnership by the Jewish Ecological Coalition and the EcoCentre.
The St Kilda Bike Kitchen aims to grow and support a vibrant and welcoming community, where anyone can learn to build, maintain and repair bicycles. Come along to this open workshop, and enjoy a warm cuppa whilst learning how to get your wheels mended. Please note, no Repair Cafe will be running this month due to maintenance in part of our venue. The St Kilda Repair cafe will resume its monthly happenings from November 13 onwards.
Date and time: 13 October 2024, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Price: Free / by donation
Location: Cora Graves, 38 Blessington St, St Kilda (across previous EcoCentre)
