Our aim with the workshops is to provide networking support and content knowledge to assist educators in embedding sustainability and environment education in their classroom teaching.

This FREE professional development will look at how creating gardens in our schools and early learning centres can not only be activities for STEAM learning and teaching but can also provide an important element for the creation of biodiversity corridoors, vital to the conservation of our urban wildlife. Sharron Hunter, educator and Neil Blake, the Baykeeper, both from the Port Phillip EcoCentre will conduct a walk from Elsternwick primary, along the Elster Creek canal to Elsternwick Park to illustrate the importance of these projects for schools and to illuminate the rich learning that can take place in nature.
