The EcoCentre urgently needs your help to strengthen Council's draft climate action plans, especially to urge Council to support the community and households to mitigate and adapt to climate change through practical help and support as well as information.
In 2019, Port Phillip declared a Climate Emergency. Now, they are locking in important strategies and plans, which select actions that they will undertake and fund. Our community’s feedback can improve these plans in critical ways: increased action (not just providing info) to help people and households to cope with climate change; increased investment in mobilising community (not just upgrading public infrastructure); requesting specific targets and timelines; ensuring targeted support for vulnerable people, and expanding EcoCentre programs.
Join us the EcoCentre for snacks, tips from Executive Officer April Seymore, and technical support to complete the Have Your Say survey(s) with your ideas and feedback, either:
