Come along to learn about fire dependent seeds!
This event will give you an opportunity to learn about the plant biodiversity in Victoria and their interactions with wildfire. Fire plays a critical role in Australian ecosystems; some plants depend entirely on fire in their life cycles.
Hosted by Kacey, our Multicultural Bay Ambassador and a future ecologist. She will barbecue plants to demonstrate how the seeds pods release seeds with heat. You will also create your plant pots with native species and bring them home! Come to EcoCentre on Sunday 26th, to be an expert in plant ecology and get your hands dirty! The session will run for 2 hours.
Language support is available in Japanese and Spanish. Please let us know in the registration form should you require language assistance.
