Join us together for a community planting event in the beautiful Point Ormond.
Last year lights were installed along the Promenade, meandering the pathway along Point Ormond. We need volunteers to help put 2000 plants in the ground to support the revegetation and restoration after these building works. When this area was originally planted out by community volunteers many years ago, hundreds of locals turned up in support and excitement for the conservation of the stunning foreshore.
This exciting initiative also fosters ongoing protection and preservation of our coastal woodland environments which provide essential habitats for a variety of plant and animal species. By taking part in this community planting event, you’ll be making a meaningful difference in preserving and improving these valuable ecosystems. Please remember to bring a hat, sunblock, water and your own gardening gloves.
