Local Life: On Land and Below Water
Join over 200 teachers, environmental educators and local government officers to discover how to connect students to life on land and below water including local waterways and Port Phillip Bay. Presenters will share real life experiences from schools that have recently started on their sustainability journey through to those who have been the leaders for numerous years.
Steps to Sustainability 2019 will showcase how teachers are using sustainability to support the Victorian Curriculum and how schools are implementing the ResourceSmart Schools program and United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.
This conference has been designed especially for people working on school sustainability projects and curriculum initiatives. Enjoy a day at the Zoo, meet other teachers and get lots of ideas to take back to your workplace.
You are encouraged to use sustainable transport options (details on booking page). 5-hour City of Melbourne parking is available and it will be your responsibility to move your vehicle are required.
Conference is waste wise.
Cost is $85 (plus GST and online booking fee). Morning tea, lunch and entry to the Zoo included in ticket.
