This teacher professional development aims to connect women to their local environment, empowering them to deliver hands-on STEM activities with a local marine theme to enable girls and women to take local action.
ERM scholarships available to the first 15 female teachers who register!
You'll be trained in the following citizen science experiences:
- Little Penguin habitat restoration including sea grasses, propagation of nesting material, and sand re-nourishment on St Kilda Pier
- Shoreline shell surveys to monitor changes in shell development relating to CO2 concentrations in Port Phillip Bay
- Live mollusc surveys to record species and their densities
- Litter auditing and action planning
Event Cost: $150pp (ERM scholarships available to the first 15 female teachers who register)
