Zero waste traditions aren’t new, in fact there are so many tips from cultures around the world! Presenters from Zero Waste Victoria and community members from Hong Kong/Australian, Irish and Japanese heritage will show you zero waste tips, tricks and traditions from their culture.

Reiko Yamada
Reiko is an educator and project officer at the EcoCentre. Born in Japan and having lived in four countries, Reiko is a cross-cultural maven. She champions cultural diversity and seeks to foster inclusion within our multicultural communities through sustainability and improve our well-being by connecting deeply with our culture and the natural environment.
Emily Hui
Born on Wurundjeri Woiwurrung Country, of Hong Kong Chinese descent, Emily is a passionate International Baccalaureate educator and one of the co-founders of Zero Waste Victoria and the Zero Waste Festival.
Hannah Brooks
Originally from the wild Wicklow hills of Ireland and is passionate about all aspects of sustainability, and will discuss Irish culture and zero waste initiatives. She is the Director of Howl & Associates, a local business, which specialises in communications and business development services for the creative, sustainability and startup sectors.
