Marketing and Communications Coordinator (Part time)

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our fun and caring team. Are you a talented, media-savvy communications professional, who enjoys juggling diverse storytelling and strategic tasks? (And drinking tea on a sunny garden deck!)

Some of the responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute marketing / communication strategies
  • Use a variety of communication methods (social media, email newsletters, venue branding, media releases and our website) to grow participation in EcoCentre programs
  • Plan and drive digital fundraising campaigns
  • Maintain our (freshly updated) website and contacts database
  • Inspire and partner with our community of individuals and organisations to be engaged in climate action
  • Campaigns supporting our beautiful new community sustainability hub opening in 2023

Your experience will include:

  • A strong background in marketing and digital communications, and a willingness to grow our brand via use of social media
  • Experience with (or an understanding of) running digital fundraising campaigns
  • Robust experience of using digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, WordPress, as well as the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with the use and management of CRMs, with experience in CiviCRM being ideal.

Student Placement


The Eco Centre provides a range of opportunities for university and high school students to complete their work experience or student placement.

Teacher Placement

The EcoCentre provides a range of opportunities for pre-service teachers or educators who would like to experience educational opportunities in a variety of schools. Teachers on placement will ‘shadow’ our Educators.


The EcoCentre acknowledges the Kulin Nations, including the Yalukut Weelam clan of the Boon Wurrung language group, traditional owners of the land on which we are located.
