Job Vacancies

Multicultural Bay Ambassador (volunteer) – CLOSES 6 NOVEMBER 2022

Our community is diverse and we need more diverse values and voices reflected in our industry and environmental action. The Multicultural Bay Ambassadors Program is a four-month volunteer internship program for emerging professionals to develop skills in community engagement and education, and share cultural knowledge for the EcoCentre to better understand and design our programs.

In October 2022, apply to join our team as our Bay Ambassadors. Ambassadors undergo fieldwork training and professional mentoring to design culturally inclusive nature events for February 2023. 

The program will run from 22 November 2022 to 24 February 2023, with face-to-face and online sessions.

Student Placement


The Eco Centre provides a range of opportunities for university and high school students to complete their work experience or student placement.

Next intake term 4, 2022

Teacher Placement

The EcoCentre provides a range of opportunities for pre-service teachers or educators who would like to experience educational opportunities in a variety of schools. Teachers on placement will ‘shadow’ our Educators.


The EcoCentre acknowledges the Kulin Nations, including the Yalukut Weelam clan of the Boon Wurrung language group, traditional owners of the land on which we are located.

We pay respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Elder members of our multicultural community.
