FEATURED EVENT

Wetlands and Wildlife Series

In partnership with Melbourne Water, the EcoCentre invites you to take part in our upcoming Wetlands and Wildlife series.

Wetlands are critical features of our landscape providing many benefits to us all. They are one of the most productive ecosystems in the world, comparable to rain forests and coral reefs. They help to improve water quality, provide fish, foster wildlife habitats, store floodwaters and maintain surface water flow during dry periods.

However street litter makes its way to our waterways and is a major cause of pollution. Come learn what we can do as a community to combat this issue and help nature. This event celebrates community, connection and conservation.

Join in the fun at this free, family-friendly and accessible event supported by Melbourne Water.

June 17 - Waterbirds and biodiversity @ Glen Iris Wetlands

June 24- Waterways pollution learning @ Elwood Canal

The EcoCentre acknowledges the Kulin Nations, including the Yalukut Weelam clan of the Boon Wurrung language group, traditional owners of the land on which we are located.

We pay respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Elder members of our multicultural community.
