Whale or a Wave?

Join us at the EcoCentre for this special presentation on the Two Bays Whale Project by the Dolphin Research Institute.

The Two Bays Whale Project is a new citizen science initiative to formally record sightings of large cetacean (whale and dolphin) species within Port Phillip, Western Port and adjacent waters (Barwon Heads to Inverloch).

Find out how you can report your own whale and dolphin sightings and be a citizen scientist for this project.

You'll learn about the features that can be used to identify our local whales and dolphins, and how to record and report the best information possible so that your valuable contribution can add to the existing body of knowledge. Find out where you can record your sightings and how they will be used to help the cetaceans in our local waters.

PLACES ARE LIMITED AND REGISTRATIONS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS EVENT.

This event is for volunteers, members, affiliates and partners of the EcoCentre.

EcoCentre Membership is FREE, and you can join at https://ecocentre.com/membership
