Join us for a scenic adventure around Westerfolds Park! Be part of the "Spotting Nature Challenge", and have the opportunity to win amazing prizes and meet new international eco-friends, all for free!

Are you a visitor to Australia or an international student living in Melbourne? Or are you a resident who loves the fresh air whilst appreciating the beauty of Australian wildlife? Maybe you didn't know you can find wild kangaroos and majestic birds close to home.

You'll be amazed by the stunning plants and quirky animals that live in the dynamic ecosystems created by the Yarra River waterways. You'll be able to learn more about your surroundings while challenging yourself to spot the most species you can (using an app like PokemonGo). To end the day, we'll have a bio-picnic to share delicious snacks and discuss your ideas and thoughts on how to better connect with nature in 2023.

Hosted by our Multicultural Bay Ambassador, Claudia, a forestry expert and birdwatcher. She will run a 2 hours session to explore wildlife at Westefolds Park and the connections of the Yarra River.

We will do a game with the INaturalist app, so please bring your smartphone charged. Remember to be SunSmart, and bring a hat, sunscreen, reusable water bottle, mosquito repellent,  snack!

Language support is available in Spanish. Please let us know in the registration form should you require language assistance.
